Over the course of five days, we'll take you through everything you need to know about preparing your business for global expansion. From understanding the benefits of exporting to developing an export plan, our program is designed to give you the tools, knowledge, and resources you need to succeed in the global marketplace.
NEED 3 THINGS THAT ARE INSIDE THE CHALLENGE
A day by day look ahead
Day 1: We'll introduce you to the challenge. We'll also cover the benefits of exporting for businesses, including increased revenue, access to new markets, and opportunities for growth and expansion. You'll have the opportunity to create a vision board for your business that includes your global goals, as well as write down the top three benefits you hope to gain from exporting your products or services.
Day 2: Assess your business's global readiness. We'll provide you with a Global Readiness Quiz to help you identify the areas of your business that need improvement to become globally ready. You'll reflect on your results and identify the areas of your business that need improvement. You'll create an action plan for improving your business's global readiness.
Day 3: Exploring export opportunities. You'll learn about the different types of export opportunities available and how to research trade missions and identify opportunities that align with your business goals and values. You'll research a trade mission that aligns with your business goals and values and develop a strategy for how you can capitalize on export opportunities for your business.
Day 4: Cultural competence and international business. You'll learn why cultural competence is important and develop a cultural competence strategy for success in diverse markets. You'll develop a cross-cultural marketing campaign for a target market outside of your own culture, as well as identify potential cultural barriers that could impact your business and develop a plan for how to overcome them.
Day 5: Create a plan for export success. You'll learn about the key elements of a successful export plan and have an opportunity to create a 12-month export plan for your business that includes specific goals and action steps. You'll reflect on how the Black & Global Momentum incubator can support you in achieving your export goals and create a plan for how you will take advantage of its resources.
Throughout the challenge, you'll have access to a range of resources, including videos, reflection questions, and support from a community of Black business owners who are also participating in the challenge. You'll also gain a better understanding of the global marketplace and the opportunities that exist for your business. By the end of the challenge, you'll have a concrete action plan for how to take your business global.
